Television journalist, Clive Myrie was born on August 25, 1964 in Bolton, United Kingdom. He was born to a Jamaican family whose parents divorced when he was young and he started living with his mother, Lynne Marie.

1985

Graduated from University of Sussex

Clive attained the Hayward Grammar School, in Bolton. He also joined University of Sussex and completed his graduation in 1985. From the same university, he completed Law program.

1988

Joined Radio Bristol

At starting of his professional career, Myrie worked as a reporter for Radio Bristol in 1988. He then became the reporter of Point West and latterly BBC Television and Radio News. 

1996

Became a BBC foreign correspondent

Clive became BBC foreign correspondent in 1996. At first, he became Tokyo BBC correspondent. His career has encompassed major stories such as the impeachment of the US President, Bill Clinton, wars in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Clive was appointed as a BBC reporter for the coverage of the earthquake that struck in the Nepal on 25 April 2015. He also covered the news of two Nepali citizens who were found alive under the collapsed buildings on 30 April 2015.
