Diego Maradona is an Argentine retired football player who has worked as the manager and coach of the national team of Argentina. He was joint FIFA Player of the 20th Century with Pele. He played in four FIFA World Cups, including the 1986 World Cup in Mexico where he captained Argentina and led them to victory over West Germany in the final, and won the Golden Ball.
He was born in Lanus, Buenos Aires in 1960 to father, Diego Maradona "Chitoro" and mother, Dalma Salvadora Franco 'Doña Tota". He raised with his parents in Villa Fiorito alongside his five siblings; three sisters and two younger brothers Hugo and Raul. His brothers are also professional footballers.
As he performed best with great skills while he was just three years old, he received a soccer ball as a gift from the little star's fan.
Diego began his career as a footballer at the age of 10. He joined the Los Cebollitas, a youth team of Argentinos Juniors, and which is one of the biggest clubs in Argentina.
Maradona's first goal was against Marplatense's team San Lorenzo in primary division, on 14 November 1976. He played for argentous junior for about five years and scored 115 goals.
Later he moved to Barcelona after June 1982's world cup. He played for Barcelona for about seven years and scored 38 goals in 58 games. Maradona later joined Napoli club in 1992 where he played for about six years and score 115 goals in 259 matches.
Diego was also selected as the manager for the numbers of teams such as Mandiyu de Corrientes in January 1994, Racing club in 1995, Argentina in 2008, Al Wasl in May 2011, and currently he is the manager of Fujairah.
Maradona married his long-time fiance Claudia Villafane on November 7, 1984, in Buenos Aires, and the couple together has two daughters Dalma Nerea and Gianinna Dinorah. Sadly after living for 20 years, together, they divorced in 2004.
Currently, Diego Maradona is engaged to his 28-year-old girlfriend Rocio Oliva since 2014, though he presented her with an engagement ring on July 25, 2018, on her birthday.
Diego Maradona is not far away from past affairs as he dated many ladies which include Veronica Ojeda (2013), Silvina Luna (2005), Cristiana Sinagra (1985) and Lucia Galan (1981 - 1982).
With his past relationship with Cristiana Sinagra, he has a son named Diego Sinagra, and son Diego Fernando Maradona Ojeda with Veronica Ojeda. He is also father to his daughter Jana Maradona.
Surfing through his history, he made a world record £5 million transfer to Barcelona, and when he transferred to Napoli, he made another record fee £6.9 million.
