Gary played a young prince in the play and it was held at Freemason's Hall in Covent Garden. His career highlight was when he played a character in a series Foyle’s War. His second play, Nation was also one of the great works he has done so far.

When he was asked about his most embarrassing moment on stage, he said "while he was fell first time," which he has already done for few times and while he has to perform on the running nose. And when asked about the hardest part of his job, he told the only thing is that he has to wake up early compromising his sleep.

Some of his favorite actors, actresses and singers are Michael Jackson, James Dean, Al Pacino, Charlie Chaplin, Bob Marley, Terence Howard, Leonardo DiCaprio and many more. He is very private about his personal life that is why he never shares about his girlfriend or his married life of plans.

As of 2017, his estimated net worth is about $900,000. Back in 2013, the stars who worked in the series Downtown Abbey was given three-year deals worth 1 million pounds each. The list included leading actors like Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern. Gary Carr has also been in the series and although his income is yet to disclose, we can guess that he made a reasonable sum of money from the series since he was the first black actor to work in the series.
