The story of Shelley Fabares is a heart-touching one. Her illness and liver transplant issue has made it to the headlines and her story with a happy outcome has become the source of inspiration for a huge number of her fans around the world.  

For those who are unknown about the marvelous acting credits of this beauty, it is mandatory to state that Fabares has been known for co-starring with the famous Elvis Presley in three films and is an actress and singer known for her songs and her roles as Mary Stone in The Donna Reed Show. Shelley fell through the floor joists of her home which was under construction in 1994. She broke all the ribs on the left side of her body but this led her to find out that she had a life-threatening condition called autoimmune hepatitis which required her to get a liver transplant.

While she took medications to increase her liver count, this did not help her cause and she experienced an esophageal bleed one day. She needed a transplant immediately and the problem she faced was finding the right liver donor. After waiting for 22 months, she finally got a successful transplant and has been stable in her medical conditions as of now.

The heart-touching story of her struggle towards a stabilized health has touched a lot of her fans around the world. The pretty beauty with a height of 5 feet and 4 inches and a net worth of 1.5 million dollars is however now safe and sound. She has been married for the past 32 years to her husband, actor Mike Farrell and they have children Erin and Michael together. It sure seems that she is happy now and will remain healthy in the time to come.
