Glor began his career as co-anchor of WSTM-TV. He also served as the morning news anchor from 1997–2000. Later he moved to WSTM as a part-time producer. Following this, he was named "Best Male News Anchor" by Syracuse New Times, under the age of 40. He has also worked as contributing researcher and writer on The Legal Handbook for N.Y. State Journalists.
In 2007, Glor joined CBS News as co-anchor. However, later he changed his profession as a newsreader, on the Saturday Early Show. From 2009 to 2010, he hosted the CBS Evening News of Saturday edition. In the same year, he started to report for other broadcasts such as CBS Evening News and CBS Sunday Morning, for which he won an Emmy Award.
Later, Glor became the new permanent anchor for the CBS Evening News in late 2017, replacing Scott Pelley. He also became the new permanent weekday anchor of the CBS Evening News on December 4, 2017.
Glor is an American by nationality and belongs to the white ethnicity. He married his long-term girlfriend, Nicole, a fitness instructor, and former college cheerleader. The couple met each other at Syracuse University. His wife gave birth to two children, a son, and a daughter. The couple lives a happily married life together with their children and has no rumor of divorce between them.
