On the 6th of December 2008, John got married to Joan Bush. Joan Bush is a sweet loving wife. As a married couple, they have been parents twice.
John received his formal education from Dickson County Senior High. He graduated from there and then he began pursuing his singing career. Initially he worked at Opryland USA singing. In 1992, he joined the country music group, Lonestar whose original name was group Texas. He worked there as a bass guitarist and also as an occasional vocalist. He also wrote some of their songs like Come Cryin' to Me and Say When. However, he was fired from Lonestar in 1998. Then he began pursuing his solo career. In 1999, he released his debut single I Pray for You and it was followed by the 2000 Forever Loving You. In 2002, he formed the country music duo Big & Rich and released their debut album, Horse of a Different Color on 4th of May 2004. His net worth is said to be around $6 million dollars.
