Karanvir was born on August 28, 1982, as Manoj Bohra to his father Mahendra Bohra, a filmmaker, and mother, Madhu Bohra. He grew up along with her sibling, Meenakshi Bohra Vyas.
Bohra graduated from the G.D. Somani Memorial School, Cuffe Parade, and enrolled at the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. Karanvir is of Indian nationality and belongs to mixed ethnicity.

At the age of eight, Karanvir Bohra began his career appearing in the 1990 movie, Tejaa where he played the role of Tejada. After that, he was featured in several movies such as Kismat Konnection, Love You Soniye, Mumbai 125 KM; however, all those movies turned to be unsuccessful.
Then Bohra debuted on the television series, Just Mohabbat, however, the television series couldn't grab enough audience. Then, he appeared in several other television series that include Sharat, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kkusum, Dil Se Di Dua, Qubool Hai, and many others.
