Namrata Shirodkar, a granddaughter of Marathi actress Meenakshi Shirodkar, who starred in Brahmachari (1938). He was born on Jan 22, 1972, and famous for her works in movies like Ezhupunna Tharakan, Kachche Dhaage, Pukar, Vaastav: The Reality. She has also been nominated as IIFA Best Supporting Actress Award.
Namrata was the winner of Feminine Miss India Universe 1993 Miss Universe 1993; top 6 finalists and Miss Asia Pacific 1993; 1st runner-up. She made the first debut in Hindi Cinema movie Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai. With her spouse Mahesh Babu she two children.
Before she was crowned the Miss India, she was active in the field of modeling. After crowning herself with Miss India Title she represented India in Miss Universe and became top five finalists.
