Rashida Jones Gave Birth, Welcomed First Child With Boyfriend Ezra Koenig Weeks Ago

Rashida Jones and Ezra Koenig are parents! The Parks and Recreation star, and her loving boyfriend secretly welcomed their first child together, weeks ago, multiple sources have confirmed.

According to E! News, the actress gave birth to the latest addition to the family on August 22 in Los Angeles.

And as for the gender and name of the newborn, E! News reports they welcomed a baby boy, and the couple named their adorable son Isaiah Jones Koenig.

However, none of the two have publicly confirmed the good news.

During a talk with The Guardian in 2014, Rashida gushed on the subject of motherhood, saying that she was “OK” with not having children.

She told the publication at the time,

My life’s great! But it’s just this weird thing that’s been hammered into my head culturally: that’s the only way to succeed, that’s the only thing that counts for a woman.

I’m happy, but the fact that I’m not married and don’t have kids — it’s taken me a long time to get to a place where I actually am OK with that, where I actually don’t feel like I’m some sort of loser.

The Quincy director, 42, and the lead singer of Vampire Weekend, 34, were dating in 2016 but their relationship only became public in January 2017 when the duo stepped out together at the Sundance Film Festival.

Rashida, who is the daughter of music producer Quincy Jones, was previously engaged to musician Mark Ronson. She was also linked to actors John Krasinski and Jon Favreau, and comedian Colin Jost.

 Back in 2011, the actress had also opened up to E! News about her outlook on marriage.

When asked when she would ever marry, she said with a laugh at the time, "Maybe never?"

She continued,

Marriage doesn't really buy you anything. I mean, Chris Messina, who is my co-star in this movie, is with my very close friend [producer Jennifer Todd]. They're not married, but they have two kids and they're wildly happy.
