After the completion of her graduation, Rei kawakubo started working in the advertisement department at the textile company. She then worked as a freelance for a while and later started to design her own clothes under the label like Some Boys and Comma des Garcons.
Rei's career took a further step after she began working as the founder of Comme des Garcons and Dover Street Market. Her company focused in anti-fashion, austere and deconstructed garments and further expand with women’s clothes, men’s clothes. kawakubo presented her designs in the Paris fashion event.
