According to court documents, Patton has forbidden Thicke from seeing his son stating that Julian is scared of him. Furthermore, Patton also filed an emergency restraining order that doesn’t allow Thicke to see their son other than during daytime and under supervision.
Patton also said that Thicke’s drinking and drug-using habits had troubled her over the past years. She was also worried about the forms of punishment Thicke was using to discipline their son. She said that her concerns became true when Julian’s school reported that his father was abusing him.

Thicke states that he punished his son as a form of teaching discipline which was ‘consistent with the law’. He also said that it was agreed by both him and his ex-wife.
He said:
“On a very rare occasion and only as a last resort, I will use light spanking, but it is consistent with the law – open hand on the butt. This is the type of discipline to which Paula and I agreed during our marriage,”

He also added that he always tried to teach his son age-appropriate discipline which has never been an issue to his ex-wife previously.
Thicke further claims that Patton is doing such at present as a matter of revenge as she was not invited to Thicke’s father, Alan Thicke’s, funeral. However, Thicke also makes clear that she wasn’t invited because she never had an optimistic relationship with his father and would often make negative comments about him.
He stated:
"It is my belief that Paula holds residual anger toward me because I and my family would not permit her or her family to attend the funeral of my father on December 20, 2016."
Patton received custody of Julian. The judge gave Patton sole legal and physical custody until the next hearing on 26th January 2017 until the next hearing scheduled on 24th February 2017.
Thicke has been ordered to stay 100 meters away from his son Julian, ex-wife Patton and Patton’s mother, but he can visit Julian at a neutral location thrice a week. However, the investigation is going on.
We have to stay for the verdict to know the real picture behind the story. We hope this is a fake allegation as no one would like to see Robin as an abusive father.
