Sade's parents got divorced when she was a little girl. After that she was adopted by a middle-class African American family and they raised her till she was in her early 20s. After her high school graduation, Sade joined University of Maryland College Park. She also graduated from there. She has been pursuing her journalism career since 2000. In 2003, she joined WABC but before that she worked at WBAL-TV as an anchor. She has been working as a co anchor of Eyewitness News since the end of 2004.
