In 2015, Yandy Smith and husband Mendeecees Harris said ‘I do’ in a lavish wedding ceremony that was televised. Their fans went head over heels when they saw the pair got married. The couple gathered a lot of attention in their married life when reports came out that they weren’t legally married. Later, they accepted it as well.

Now, Smith and her beau are back in the media and they are claiming that they want to legalize their wedding. Reports say that the pair felt that spiritual marriage is not all and that’s why they want to go on with the legalization process.

Smith said,

"We have definitely decided to go ahead and do the paperwork and all that stuff, not that I was so concerned or cared about that stuff, but it meant a lot to him. So it was only right... With him being away, we have to re-register, get things notarized and all that stuff."

For those who are unaware of where Harris is at the moment, you should know that he is in the prison serving an extensive sentence. However, Smith believes that her husband will be out pretty soon. Harris and Smith have two children together, Skylar Smith Harris and Omere Harris. Now that Harris is in prison, Smith is trying hard to raise her kids without their dad.
