After moving back to Altoona, he took noticed the deterioration of some areas in the city, Matt got involved in reconstruction job and now he is serving on City Council since 2014 and has learned a great deal of the communities infrastructure and finances.
After waiting for a long time, Matt found his life partner, Morgan Brennan a broadcast journalist for CNBC. They got married on 6th of August 2011. Later, on 30th March 2016, Matt and Morgan welcomed a cute baby girl and the couple outed that the moment was one of the most delightful moments of their lives.
