All About 'The Hills' Star Heidi Montag Personal Life- From Relationship To Plastic Surgery

As the main cast of the widely popular reality series The Hills, Heidi Montag, over the years, has curiosity hovering over her personal life. A mother of a son with actor-director husband Spencer Pratt, the 34-year-old TV personality is barely left out while the talks on dissatisfaction & complication with plastic surgery come up.

Reportedly, the Colorado native revealed in 2010 that she underwent 10 surgeries within a day at the age of 23, including a nose job, chin reduction, buttock as well as breast augmentation. But looking back to those decisions, Montag claims she was 'way too young' about the life-changing decision that even led her close to death once.

Montag came to mainstream fame in 2006 through the reality series The Hills that concluded in 2010; while starring in the series, she met her love of life, Spencer Pratt in 2007 at Hollywood club Privilege. Shortly after the romance between the duo bloomed, which on the other, ended her bond with her friend Lauren Conrad, as the latter showed disapproval of their relationship.

At one point, The Hills was centered on the degrading friendship of Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad.

During Season 4 of the MTV reality show, Heidie and Spencer eloped to Mexico and married on November 20, 2008. However, it was not considered legal as it had no civil ceremony & had not obtained a marriage license.

Later, the couple had a wedding ceremony on April 25, 2009, in Pasadena, California.

On October 1, 2017, together with Pratt, she welcomed a son Gunner Stone Pratt. Her former The Hills co-star Jennifer Bunney is the godmother of her son.

Beginning 2021, the 5 feet 2 inches tall TV personality saw rumors of pregnancy with a second child, which she clearly denied via Twitter on February 13, 2021, as she wrote: "No I am not pregnant yet. Just a little overweight."

Soon the statement got her in internet bullying about her weight and height, to which Heidi backfired on social media. "I love my body! Many people have been speculating and commenting about my weight. I am not pregnant", the reality star wrote on her Instagram on February 19, last week.

Then-19 years old Heidi Montag got showers of fan attention & comments as she landed in the Laguna Beach spin-off The Hills, a pseudo-reality TV series in 2006. It chronicled the personal & professional life of Lauren Conrad along with her housemate Heidi Montag & friends Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port.

Shortly after Season 1 of the series wrapped up in August 2006, she underwent a nose job and had a breast augmentation to increase the size from A to a 32C.

In 2010, Montag told People that she underwent 10 cosmetic surgeries within less than 24 hours in 2009; the aftermath of her surgery was showcased in Season 6 of The Hills. As for a fact, the beauty enhancement even led to 2 years of estrangement between Heidi and her mother; as she showed disapproval.

Reportedly, she had a second nose job, a chin reduction, a mini brow lift, and liposuction (in her neck, waist, hips & thighs). Moreover, a second breast enhancement surgery increased the cup size from a 32C to a DDD; these all surgeries cost her a whooping £23,000.

However, after a discomfort, Montag underwent breast reduction & downsized from a size F in 2013.

In 2018, during an interview with Paper Magazine, the American TV personality revealed that her heart stopped briefly while recovering from the surgery.

Why Did Heidi Montag Underwent Surgery?

In 2019, she opened up with Cosmopolitan that it was the pressure & negative comments about her on the internet that opted her to choose surgery for enhancement. Moreover, The Hills star told about unwiseness for that decision:

"I was way too young to make such a life-changing decision. I was under so much pressure because it was the beginning of comment sections and negativity and hate on the internet."

Her husband Spencer seemed so supportive about her decisions & even more, has spoken on her behalf concerning how serious surgery is.

"I was there for every second, so I know all about that journey. The phrase ‘minor surgical procedure’ does not exist. That’s the hard lesson we learned. There’s no such thing as one minor surgical procedure. And there’s certainly no such thing as 10 minor surgical procedures."

While all these years, Montag has shown dissatisfaction with her decision & guilt about cosmetic enhancement, she is not against plastic surgery. But admits that it should be taken seriously & believes that 'plastic surgery isn’t something that should be glorified'.
