Anfernee Deon " Penny" Hardaway, or simply Penny Hardaway, is an American college basketball coach. He is also a former basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and was often compared to the legendary Magic Johnson, who has a gay son.

He played 6 seasons while in Orlando Magic, starting from 1993 to 1999 and appeared in a total of 369 regular season games, where he had 19 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game.

Phoenix Suns

In the summer of 1999, Penny was traded to Phoenix Suns for Danny Manning, and Pat Garrity. He played 5 seasons with Phoenix Suns starting from the year 1999 till 2004.

He appeared in 236 regular season games and averaged 12.4 points, 4.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 4.5 rebounds.

New York Knicks

Penny was traded to New York Knicks on January 6, 2004, along with teammate Marbury and Cezary Trybanski. Together with Marbury, he leads the Knicks to the 2004 NBA Playoffs.

Miami Heat
