Stuckey proposed Kooiman while both were watching the sunrise over the Sydney Harbor while she was in Australia to meet Stuckey’s parents. During an interview with ‘After the Show Show,wants’ Kooiman said that she was crying and laughing at the same time when Stuckey proposed him.

After being engaged for some time, Kooiman and Stuckey got married on 31st August 2015. Their amazing wedding ceremony was held at Central Park's Loeb Boathouse among close friends and family. After the wedding, Kooiman shared a lot of photos of her big day through her social networking accounts.

She started working at Fox News since 2004 but later in 2007, she became the anchor and reporter of the NBC-affiliated WNWO in Ohio. She worked as an anchor for Fox News Rising after that. But, later she got the opportunity to work as a general assignment news reporter and co-hosts “Fox & Friends Weekend”. However, she left the show in September 2016.
