Married for over 20 years the couple is a parent of two children; however, they haven't revealed the children's name and identity. Chris Hansen has been living with his wife Mary and two children together in Connecticut.

In spite of having a complete happy family, Chris was involved an extramarital affair with a host of Orlando's ABC affiliate WFTV Channel 9, Kristyn Caddell,  who is 20 years younger than him. Some sources also claim that Kristyn Caddell is Chris' mistress. However, Chris says that he has no intention of leaving his loyal wife as he loves her a lot.

Mary Joan Hansen reportedly shared a statement saying that she considers herself equally responsible for this. Why did she say this? The answer is not revealed yet.
