David Foster and Yolanda Hadid married a long time ago. However, Hadid never spoke ill of her husband. But David Foster’s ex-wife, Linda Thomson, revealed in her new book, Little Thing Called Life that David was a controlling husband and used to mistreat her frequently, and as such, even Hadid could have been mistreated during their relationship.
After finding love in one another, Foster married Hadid on 11th November 2011 in Beverly Hills, California. Their wedding was an 11/11/11 themed ceremony. Foster had three stepchildren from Yolanda’s previous marriage to Mohamed Hadid.

According to Foster’s ex-wife Thomson, Foster was not a good husband. He was over protective, conserved, controlling and possessive husband. He wanted his wife to stay at home and do household activities. Maybe that’s why Yolanda always stayed at home during her marriage.
Linda wrote in her book about her ex-husband: “At times, he had an expectation that I was there to serve and take care of him, to make beds and do housework. At that time he didn’t believe that women should have careers. He found ambition in a woman to be unattractive,” She even said that Foster made her stop auditioning for roles, as he said: “I don’t want you being an actress because you might have to kiss somebody, and if you do, it’s not going to work for me.”

Although Hadid never spoke about the internal matter of her relationship with Foster, it is assumed that she too was the victim of his mistreatment.
After four years of being married, Foster announced that he was getting divorced from his wife, Hadid. It was on 1st December 2015. During an interview with People magazine, they said: “Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”

Before that, Yolanda said on Watch What Happens Live: “We had a beautiful love story that I will treasure forever. Unfortunately, it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way,”
We know that Foster has married multiple times — to be precise, he has been married four times — and he has a few children with them. Talking about his biological children, he has five daughters and six grandchildren .
However, Hadid has three children of her own from her previous marriage. But Foster and Hadid do not have any children together.

The reality about Hadid and Foster’s relationship is that, no matter how controlling Foster was, they both worked as much as they could to save their marriage. Hadid herself admits that she doesn’t want to talk about what went wrong. However, she wants to honor the good memories.
