Youtube personality TotalBiscuit died on 24 May 2018, but before his death, he led a fancy life out of his career as a Youtuber. In fact, his earning and net worth was and still is a curiosity for many.

He was the top curator of the platform on a digital distribution called Steam, with a total of over 400,000 followers.

Likewise, he is also involved in charity works. As the winner of the Battle Royale in 2012, he donated all the prize money to “Charity: Water,” a non-profit organization.

Totalbiscuit’s real name is John Peter Bain. He also used other alias names like The Cynical Brit, and TotalHalibut.

Career

TotalBiscuit was a British video gaming commentator and game critic on Youtube. He is known for Shout casting games like StarCraft II and PlanetSide 2.

He first started out his career as a host when he was still in college. He studied law at De Montfort University and there he hosted an extreme metal music show on Demon FM.

Born on 8 July 2018, he then moved as a host for “Blue Plz” World of Warcraft Radio for about 5 years. His works were praised by the World of Warcraft family and he was later invited to join Blizzcon in 2005.

During his tenure, he got promoted to the post of managing director. It was then he started his personal site, Cynicalbrit.com.

His YouTube channel soon gained popularity making him a celebrity.  His Youtube channel basically featured “varying gaming content” as a part of the Youtube gaming network Polaris along with his special friends.

Eurogamer stated that Totalbiscuit gained a large number of fan followers due to his video commentary on newly developed games, and analysis of gaming news. He was called the “champion of indie gaming” and it was all due to his candor and personality. His voice was said to have a tone of authority.

In 2014, he entered the brit list of MCVUK and won The Game Award.

Death

TotalBiscuit shocked the world and his fans when he announced that he had a precancerous mass in his colon, the first symptoms of bowel cancer in October 2015. Despite the news, he still continued to critique games through the next few years of his remaining life.

He then retired completely from social media in April 2018, as his health was deteriorating and his cancer had become untreatable.

He died on 24 May 2018, the same year American personality Margot Kidder died.
