Greta Van Susteren proud to have been named one of Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in the World!!

In a list published on June 6, 2016, Forbes has named Fox News host Greta Van Susteren one of the 100 most powerful women in the world.

62-year-old Susteren ranked number 94 on the Forbes list. She was previously on number 99. German chancellor Angela Merkel is on the top spot, followed by Hillary Clinton. Oprah Winfrey is at number 21, Arianna Huffington was number 70, and Van Susteren was the only news person in the top 100. She’s been a fixture on the list every year since 2011. It’s Van Susteren’s sixth time on the list. This list is known to be a representation of “the smartest and toughest female business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, philanthropists and CEOs making their mark in the world today.”

Susteren hosts "On the Record" on Fox News. She is known to be the longest-running cable news anchor in the States. In February this year, she celebrated the production of her 3,500th episode of the show. She has had numerous celebrity guests on the live news show which includes Bill and Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, Henry Kissinger and sports and entertainment figures such as Mike Tyson and Kim Kardashian.

Contributing to coverage of the O.J. Simpson murder trial and the Elian Gonzalez custody battle the Georgetown law grad got her start on TV as a legal commentator on CNN. She was formerly a criminal defense and civil trial lawyer. At CNN she co-hosted a daily legal analysis show, "Burden of Proof". Before joining Fox in 2002, she also hosted the station's prime-time news and analysis show, "The Point with Greta Van Susteren".

This versatile personality is penning a book on best social media practices this year, which will be published by Simon & Schuster in 2017.

She is married to her husband John P. Coale since 1988. They don’t have children till date.
