Jeremy John Wade is a British television presenter and author of books on angling. He is known for his television series River Monsters and Jungle Hooks.
British boy Jeremy Wade was born in Ipswich and afterward, he was brought up in Nayland. He is a world traveler, tour leader, teacher, public relations consultant, and a newspaper reporter. He made his acting debut in the 2014 film Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys.

Wade as a child was hugely interested in animals. He graduated from Bristol University in zoology and then worked as a biological teacher in Kent Univesity.

He spent half of his life catching monster fishes traveling around the world to South America, Africa, China, Congo, and India. His passion towards fishing has tended him to become an expert at his work.
Jeremy's interest started in fishing at an early age while he was living in East Anglia, on the banks of Suffolk's River Stour.
Afterward, in 1982, he for the first time went overseas to India's mountain rivers where he caught a massive fish named Himalayan Mahseer which weighed up to 18 pounds.

During his journeys, Wade would even write on his traveling diary about his experiences through his fishing.
While Jeremy was in India in 2005 traveling to the Himalayan foothills, he originated the idea of River Monsters book.
During his fish hunting, he found 161-pound Goonch catfish. He got help with many local fishers during his fish hunt.
Wade is a published author. His first book was made along with the joint author Paul Boote named Somewhere Down The Crazy River which achieved huge success.
