Early life
Jim was born on October 26, 1971, in Independence, Missouri, the United States, and was raised along with his two older sisters. Raised as the youngest of his parent’s three children, Jim suffered from strep throat as a child.

At that time, he began reading the novels like The Lord of the Rings and The Han Solo Adventures from where he set out to become a writer.
