Kevin is a married man. He has been married to Cathy Kearns since a long time. He is the father of the son, Alex Newman who revealed that he is gay at the age of 17. He also has one daughter named Erica Newman.
Kevin was raised in Toronto, Ontario alongside his brother Kelly Newman. After the completion of his secondary education, he joined University of Western Ontario. He began working at CHRW radio as a news director. In 1981, after he graduated from University of Western Ontario, he joined Global Ontario as a reporter. He worked there for the next five years and then he began working at CTV as the network's parliamentary correspondent. In 1992, he hosted the show, Midday. Two years later he joined ABC News where he anchored the show, World News Now. His net worth is expected to be in millions.
