Arnold Schwarzenegger is a famous name in the Hollywood industry, much more among action film franchise lovers. The 71-year old veteran Austrian-American actor, filmmaker, author, businessman, philanthropist, politician, and former professional bodybuilder has been in the news for so long, in regards to his profession. As a matter of fact, his personal life is no second to his professional one in gathering media attention.
Lately, Arnold is gathering media focus for his relationship with long-term wife Maria Shriver. Having tied the knot in 1986, Maria filed for divorce with husband Arnold after 25-year of their marriage in 2011.
Arnold and Maria walked down the aisle on April 26, 1986, after years of dating. On May 9, 2011, after 25 years of their marriage, Arnold and Maria announced their separation. Maria even moved out of the couple's mansion located in Brentwood.
Maria thanked her followers in her tough time for their support. She tweeted,
Thank you for all the kindness, support and compassion. I am humbled by the love. Thank you.

On July 1, 2011, Maria filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences." Maria filed for divorce after learning that Arnold fathers a child named Joseph Baena with their housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena, which Arnold publicly admitted on May 17, 2011.
Joseph was born just a few days after Maria gave birth to Arnold's fourth child, Christopher. Arnold takes the financial responsibility for the child and in 2010, he bought the mother-son duo a four-bed house with a pool in Bakersfield, California.
Arnold and Maria didn't have a prenuptial agreement, but according to TMZ, "there was never any real custody between Arnold and Maria."
However, as per sources connected to Arnold and Maria, the couple was seeking a way out to a settlement but, since the split is mutual, there seem to be no serious obstacles. And neither side has finalized the divorce to date.
Soon after the scandal with Brenda seemed settled, Danish-Italian actress Brigitte Nielsen came forward and mentioned having an affair with Arnold while he was still in a relationship with wife Maria. She stated,
Maybe I wouldn't have got into it if he said 'I'm going to marry Maria' and this is deadly serious, but he didn't, and our affair carried on.
However, there hasn't been any updates on Brigitte's claims.
Despite having filed the divorce papers, Arnold and Maria are still legally a married couple. Maybe this is what makes the couple a special one.
Let's have a look back at their relationship.
Maria met her now husband back in 1977, all thanks to the American TV journalist and author Tom Brokaw. They met at a charity tennis tournament.
