It was less than a year since their relationship bloomed last summer, the duo parted ways allegedly via a text message, the Bridesmaids being the one to approach with a break-up.

Wilson and her 29-year-old boyfriend Jacob Busch, an heir to Anheuser-Busch brewery, were head over heels hinting if they were to hit the wedding bells in the near future before sudden news of split smashed it all.

On February 2, 2021, the Pitch Perfect actress who lost more than 60 lbs in 2020, made an Instagram post claiming herself single while posting outside a trailer; she wrote: Lots on my mind...aghhhhhh...#single-girl-heading-to-Super-Bowl!".

Reportedly, an insider told the US Weekly that, the duo broke up via text message, Rebel Wilson being the one to initiate the split two or three weeks ahead of the aforementioned Instagram post. In late 2020, they went on a romantic trip to Mexico before heading to Aspen for skiing before Christmas.

After vacation, Busch reportedly went to Florida to spend time with his family and invited Wilson, but received a heart-breaking reply instead. The Insider told:

"They talked all throughout the holidays and had excellent communication, but then, all of a sudden, she got really quiet and broke up with him via text message about two or three weeks ago."

Why did they split? Despite the fact that Rebel calls herself 'single' at the moment, she is yet to comment on the reason behind her break-up. On the other, Jacob didn't take the split well & was reportedly 'blindsided' & 'at loss of words'.

The Bridesmaid actress and Jacob met back in 2019 through their mutual friend.
