Ryan Higa is a native of Hilo, Hawaii born on 6th June 1990, to his parents and grew up alongside his brother, Kyle. Talking about his nationality, he is an American and belongs to Nihonjin ethnic background. He enrolled at "Waiakea High School" where he used to participate in wrestling, further he is passionate towards Judo.
During his high school, Higa along with Fujiyo started posting YouTube videos of lip-syncing on their YouTube channel, created on 20th July 2006. Soon, they expanded their channel with a variety of comedic pieces.
