In the Monday night episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, on February 22, 2021, Shailene Woodley confirmed to Jimmy Fallon that she and Aaron Rodgers were engaged & told:

"So it’s kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while."

While speaking of Aaron, she also confirmed that the duo began dating during the COVID-19 pandemic:

"He’s, first off, just a wonderful, incredible human being. But I never thought I’d be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living.

We met during this whacky, whacky time and all the stadiums were closed that he was playing in, so I have yet to go to a football game."

On February 3, 2021, a source close to US Weekly confirmed that Shailene and Aaron were dating. They reportedly started as friends and turned their bond into a romantic relationship. The sparks of their relationship first came in July 2020 but kept their love-life pretty low yet strong amid the long-distance relationship before the big news-break.
