There is so much I want to say! I am so grateful to be recognized by the Stunt Community! Taking home 2 Awards was incredible. Best fight and High work for Atomic Blonde. I really wanted to point out the epic work women are bringing to the screen. 3 of the 5 fight nominations had a female Hero! All these bad ass women inspire me everyday! . The stunt industry is Predominately Male, especially as Stunt department heads. In fact - I believe- someone correct me if I’m wrong.. but every film nominated except for Atomic Blonde (I was assistant Stunt Coordinator) and Pitch Perfect 3 ( coordinator - Jen Badger- You go Lady!) the rest were all led by men as Stunt Coordinators and fight Choreographers. This is shocking for 2018 but not shocking knowing the nature of the stunt industry. That is why I want to thank David Leitch and Sam Hargrave for giving me the opportunity to Coordinate and be part of the fight team, without batting an eye about it. I’ve worked with both of them on many films and have always had my voice heard and been an equal part in the creative process. So a huge Thanks to you both! Its directors and Coordinators like you that will be the change for us Women in Stunts. Also a huge thanks to all the Stunt Coordinators who designed these award worthy female action sequences. Please continue to see the value in pushing boundaries with female action on screen!! And don’t forget donate to thetaurusworldstuntawards.com Greg Smrz might hunt you down! #stuntcoordinator #actioninfilm #atomicblonde #taurusstuntawards #womeninfilm #charlizetheron #galgadot #wonderwomen #pitchperfect3 #taurusfoundation #rebelwilson #davidleitch #fightlikeagirl #teamstunts
