His professional career as a boxer started in 1995. Since then, he has accomplished some great achievements in the history of boxing. He became the only boxer in the history of the sport to be world champion in eight-division and also is the first boxer to win the lineal championship in five different weight divisions.

He has won the major world title in four of the original eight weight divisions of boxing known as glamour divisions and is the first one to do it as well.

Pacquiao in his boxing career has had the chance to change fist with some of the best in the boxing world. His first big fight was against Ledwaba which came on June 23, 2001, against IBF Super Bantamweight title holder Lehlohonolo Ledwaba. He won the fight with a technical knockout and won the title.

He has had 69 fights in his career. Some of his famous fights include his match against Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Márquez, Óscar Larios, Jorge Solís, David Díaz, and Miguel Cotto to name a few. However, even among those names, none come close to his match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao's fight against Mayweather Jr. was something that had been billed as the fight of the century and it had caused huge uproars in both social media and mainstream media.

That fight had many backlashes on the boxing community and Mayweather Jr. as some unethical business was claimed to have been done but the fight was over and nothing could be done about it.

He made a short retirement from his boxing career after the match but he made a comeback after a temporary retirement of one year. Till now his career stats have been:
