Jalen Anthony Rose is a former American professional basketball player. He currently is the sports analyst for ESPN. Rose is the co-founder of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy. Rose played in the NBA for six teams during his 13-year of a professional career, notably Indiana Pacers, alongside Reggie Miller.

Rose played his college basketball for Michigan from 1991 to 1994 and played as professional from 1994 to 2007. Rose was one of the highest paid NBA players of his time. Over his thirteen years of professional career, Rose has amassed a staggering net worth of $60 million.

Get Up! is a morning talk show co-hosted by Mike Greenberg, Rose, and Michelle Beadle. As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, ESPN pays a huge $14.5 million jointly to the three co-hosts: Rose makes $3 million a year, Greenberg $6.5 million and Beadle $5 million.

In addition to his properties worth millions, Rose has invested some part of his wealth, buying stakes in Chicago-area pizzeria Chain, Giordano. The amount of Rose's investment is undisclosed.

Jalen Anthony Rose was born on 30 January 1973, to parents Jeanne Rose and Jimmy Walker. Rose's mother named him after his father's name, Hames and his uncle's name, Leonard. Rose is of American nationality. Rose grew up with four siblings.

Rose lost his father to lung cancer in July 2007. His father was the No. 1 overall draft pick in the NBA in the 1972 NBA All-Star Game.

Rose attended Southwestern High School in Detroit. He went to the University of Michigan. He was a member of the Fab Five, the 1991 University of Michigan men's basketball team.
