Tupac Amaru Shakur, born Lesane Parish Crooks, was an American rapper and actor. His name Tupac Amaru, named by his mother, means 'Shining Serpent'. Popularly known by his stage name Tupac, 2pac, and Makaveli, he began his journey as a rapper in 1987 at the age of only 16. Tupac has sold over 75 million records, which makes him one of the best selling music artists of all time.
Fatally wounded at the age of 25 over a small brawl at the Las Vegas, Shakur is consistently ranked as the greatest and most influential rappers of all time.
