Is A Divorcee- Children With First Ex-Wife

Long before Russell turned professional (when he used to perform in North West clubs), he married Helen Watson. According to IMDB, the pair tied the knot in 1993 and remained together for 9 years before their divorce in 2002.

While in the relationship, he and his (now ex) spouse Helen welcomed 2 children, both daughters, Rebecca (b. 1995) and Hannah (b. 2000).

Although there were allegations that Watson dumped Helen over the phone during his North America in 2001, he himself has always denied the claims. Moreover, the father of 2 was in a rumored relationship with Joy Montgomery, a barmaid whom he met during the tour in North America.

On the other, counter-claims state that Helen asked for divorce as overnight-famous Russell could barely manage the time for his family, that hollowed their relationship.

And after all these years, it seems fair to say the path of their life now is completely on a new turn. Since 2009, the former Mrs. Watson is in a marital relationship with Tony Roberts, an engineer.

The MRI scan showed that Watson was developing pituitary adenoma (tumor). The English tenor returned to the UK and underwent a 5-hour long surgery on September 24, 2006, at St George's Hospital in Tooting, South London. Reportedly, the doctors removed an eight-centimeter lump through Watson's nose as it was pressing his optic nerve.

After going through such a critical incident, he returned to work. It was all fine until October 24, 2007, when Russell became incapacitated while working on his sixth album Outside In, as a result of regrowth of the pituitary tumor and bleeding in the brain.

Watson underwent immediate emergency surgery at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Greater Manchester & was discharged on October 31, after a week in the Intensive Therapy Unit. Throughout his recovery, he went through an extensive rehabilitation program including radiotherapy.
