American communications and political consultant Hilary Rosen has been providing political commentary for CNN, CNBC, and MSNBC for a while and you may be familiar with her. She had a shocking weight loss which made her the subject in the media for a while. Her weight loss came as a shock to the viewers but her weight loss has not made any difference in her political views.

Political Journey: Rosen's Career

Rosen's career began as a legislative assistant in the Washington, D.C. office of Governor Brendan Byrne. She joined the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1987. In 1992, she took a brief leave from the RIAA to serve as a Senator Dianne Feinstein's transition director.

She became a registered lobbyist from 1999 to 2003 and was an influence in decisions made by Congress. She Resigned from the RIAA in June 2003 to spend more time with her family.

After her resignation from RIAA, she became more involved with the media and journalism. A regular political communist for the Washington post, she is the writer of many articles for many of the national publications.

She became a CNN contributor in 2008 and also became the first Washington editor-at-large and political director of the Huffington Post the same year.

Rosen's relationship with Huffington Post would only last for 2 years as she parted ways with the organization in 2010. In April 2012, Rosen got into a controversy for saying that Ann Romney had never worked a day in her life.

She was criticized for making the statement and she apologized for making the statement the next day of making the statement. She then started to write for the Washington Post as an opinion contributor in 2013.

Rosen along with Jay Berman, with whom she had worked at RIAA briefly, ran the firm Berman Rosen Global Strategies. She joined the public relations firm Brunswick Group to head its Washington, D.C. office in 2008.

She ran the company alongside Anita Dunn. She has attended the White House on multiple occasions during Barack Obama's Presidency. She was reported to be the consultant of Debbie Wasserman Schultz during her time as chair of the Democratic National Committee.

She became the senior advisors to the LGBT rights group Americans for Marriage Equality. She has always believed in the LGBT rights and as such voices a strong opinion in that matter since 1982. She established a social networking website for the lesbians named OutChart.com in collaboration with The L Word show creator. She is currently an on-air political analyst of CNN.
