39 Years 'Grammy Award' Winning American Musician Derek Trucks is Married to Wife Susan Tedeschi Since 2001, Has Two Children
The Grammy Award winner, Derek Trucks is a familiar name to music lovers out there. He is a guitarist and his music style encompasses several genres but is more heavily inclined towards Blues. He is married to Susan Tedeschi who is a blues singer/guitarist herself. The couple is together in the band Tedeschi Trucks Band.

The Blues Couple; Derek and His Wife
As mentioned before, Derek is a married man and he is tied to a Susan Tedeschi who is a singer and guitarist. The two met in 1999 during a concert in which Tedeschi opened for the Allman Brothers in which Derek was playing. The two shared similar interest which was music and both of them having a love for blues, gospel and jazz records formed a bond over it.
From then on, they slowly started seeing more and more of each other and eventually starting dating. The two stayed in a relationship for two years before tying the knot on December 05 2001. The two were in separate bands in the past and used to be on the road pretty much all the time.
The two begin in with separate band also meant that the two would sometimes have difficulty to be with each other due to the touring times of each band being separate. In 2010, Derek and Susan started a new band called Tedeschi Trucks Band. The start of a new band together meant that the couple could spend more time together while making music and during their musical tours as well.
The band has gone on to play alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry like B.B. King, Eric Clapton, and Bob Dylan. They have remained together through all the years of difficulties and are still together for the last 17 years.
Tedeschi and Trucks' Children
Derek and his wife have two children together with a son and a daughter. They have named their children after great musicians. Thier son who was born in March 2002 is named Charles Khalil Trucks who is named after saxophonist Charlie Parker, guitarist Charlie Christian, and author Khalil Gibran.
His daughter was born in 2004 and is named Sophia Naima Trucks. Her middle name Naima is taken from the John Coltrane ballad of the same name. Derek resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife and children. When he is not busy touring with his band, he enjoys his time with his family in happiness.
