Casey, An American nationality and of white American ethnicity initially started his career doing dishwashing and as a cook in a restaurant. In New York, his first job was a bike messenger. He along with his brother began to work with artist Tom Sachs; together they started to make series of films.
Three years later, he along with his brother produced a film "Science Experiments," which was nominated in the 26th film festival of Sao Paulo Biennial in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He began getting international recognition with the video "I Pod Dirty Secret,” created alongside his brother, Van.
The video targeted on features of iPod battery, a design of Apple Inc, which is a famous technology company co-founded by Steve Jobs. The video went viral, and Neistat became an internet sensation. Later in 2008, HBO purchased an eight-episode short hit television series, “The Neistat Brothers,” that cost below $2 million from him.

Casey was a part of controversy after he announced the GoFundMe fundraiser video on YouTube for the victims of the shooting in Las Vegas. He added that any revenue earned from the video would go to the victim of the tragic shooting incident, but Youtube removed the advertisement from the video citing the videos involved or associated with the incident are to be demonetized and removed immediately. Casey expressed his dissatisfaction with Youtube decision on his Twitter account.
Talking about his personal life, Casey was in a relationship with his girlfriend, Robin Harris, with whom he had a child: son, Owen, gave birth at the age of 17. Later the couple got divorced. After his first married life became unsuccessful Candice Pool came into his life as his second spouse, during 2005; but his second married life also ended within a month.
A turning point came into his life as the couple reconciled after eight years and eventually got remarried in Cape Town, South Africa. After the reunion, the couple gave birth to a daughter, Francine. Presently, the couple is living a happy life along with their child, without having any rumors of getting a divorce.
