The Jar of Hearts singer Christina Perri finally became a mom on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at 11:40 am. Perri, who was earlier reported to be pregnant, and her husband, Paul Costabile, welcomed their baby girl, whom they named Carmella.
Afterward, Costabile posted a picture on Instagram with his and Christina's first-born baby girl saying, "The greatest gift we’ve ever known !! Welcome to the world Carmella Stanley Costabile born today. Mom and our little principessa are doing great. Dad can’t stop crying!."
Perri met Costabile for the first time in 2013 during an interview. In January 2016 Perri started to date Costabile and finally got engaged to him on June 21, 2017. In a very short period of time, she got married on December 12th, 2017.
Costabile, who is an on-air host for The Hollywood Reporter and TV personality, also took to Instagram to share the news about how they met. “I knew I wanted to ask his girl to marry me the day she walked into the green screen for an interview almost 5 years ago.”
Costabile posted a picture of the two standing in front of the green screen with the caption, "4 years ago today I met my dream girl in this room. 4 years later today I married my dream girl and best friend. Pretty sure I’m the proudest I’ve EVER been to be able to call the most Bellissima person + woman I’ve ever known now my wife!!! Whoa."
Christina Judith Perri was born on August 19, 1986, in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. She is the youngest child of Mary and Dante Perri. She has an older brother, Dominic, who played the guitar with the band Shinedown, which also includes Brent Smith, who has a son with his girlfriend Teresa, Perry Farrel, and Matt Sorum.
The American singer and composer from Bucks Country gave a hit first debut in the form of Jar of Heart. Perri then signed with Atlantic Records and released The Ocean Way Sessions, her first extended play, and Lovestrong, her debut studio album.
On her 21st birthday, in 2007, Perri moved to Los Angeles. She has said that she was initially terrified of being so far away from home and her family. Perrie got married that year but divorced 18 months later. Afterward, she moved on and started to focus entirely on music. During the time when she went back to Philadelphia, towards the end f 2009, she wrote Jar of Hearts.
The song was featured in So You Think You Can Dance in 2010 and reached #3 in the U.K.
Perri's first performance was on The CBS Morning Show and the second one was on Jay Leno. A week later, when they asked her to perform live on So You Think You Can Dance, she logged a quarter-billion YouTube views with her song A Thousand Years.
A Thousand Years also became the theme song of the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 2. Its album sold more than 4 million copies in the United States.?
After giving birth to her baby daughter, she wrote a caption on Instagram saying, "growing a baby was nuts! the best, the worst, the most challenging, for the sure divine, sometimes scary, totally magical, but no doubt, unforgettable!"
