Though Prabal has earned massive name and fame in the world as a fashion designer, it seems like he has not found any love of his life. He is still single.
As Prabal was raised in Nepal, he received his formal education from St. Xavier's School. He then joined National Council of Hotel Management and majored in Hotel Management. After that he became more interested in fashion designing and New Delhi’s National Institute of Fashion Technology. He also became active in fashion designing that time. After spending several years in Delhi, he went to New York and took an intern with Donna Karan. There he also joined Parsons School of Design where he earned the title of Best Designer in his first year. After working in several fashion agencies for several years, with the start of 2009, he launched his own collection, PRABAL GURUNG in New York.
